LGBT+ Awareness Month

The 2017 National LGBT+ Survey was completed by over 100,000 patients from within the LGBT+ community, to which almost all suggested at some point throughout their care they have a negative experience and felt their needs had not been met.

This led to the government taking action and in July 2018 the LGBT+ action plan was put into place. This was put into place to improve patient feedback, satisfaction and outcomes provide through the health care sector and to meet individual needs regardless of their gender, age or sexuality.
